ANC 3/4G endorses establishing a partnership with DOEE— specifically its Maintenance and Pollution Prevention Branch—to support the ongoing maintenance of green infrastructure within the Commission area, and encourages the expansion of the SMD 02 prototype model to additional SMDs across the Commission area. ANC 3/4G requests that DOEE collaborate with Commissioners and community members to identify priority sites, provide training and technical guidance, and support regular stewardship activities, including seasonal cleanups. ANC 3/4G urges the District government, including DDOT and DOEE, to recognize community-based maintenance partnerships as a viable strategy to sustain and expand green infrastructure under current funding constraints.
