Description
? ANC 4B urges the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice (DMPSJ), and the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to strengthen coordinated enforcement of existing laws prohibiting the operation of ATVs and offroad vehicles on public streets and sidewalks, while pairing enforcement with non-punitive, community centered strategies that promote safety and constructive engagement. These strategies should include rider education, youth engagement, and grants or contracts with local organizations that work directly with young people who ride. ? The Commission calls on the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) to partner with city agencies, non-profits, community-based organizations, and private developers to find or create private [G45.1][JT5.2]spaces[G46.1][TJ6.2] where residents can operate these vehicles legally and safely, such as Baltimore’s B-360 program which connects dirt bike culture to STEM education, provides safety training, an
