View Resolution

Adopted at the September 12, 2023 public meeting of ANC 7D, this resolution asks the DC Council to propose and enact legislation to provide for the honorary designation of the 1300-1600 Blocks of A Street, NE as "Blue and White Marching Machine Way, NE" or similarly oriented name to honor the Eastern High School Marching Band. The band regularly uses the 1300-1600 Blocks of A Street NE for music, marching and dance practice much to the delight of the community. The Resolution is intended to further build community connections with our public schools. The Resolution also seeks to recognize Eastern High School's 100th anniversary (1923) at 1700 East Capitol Street, NE.
